Getting There

  • Driving

    From Montgomery, Alabama, take Highway 80 East for approximately 40 miles. As you enter Tuskegee, follow signs for Tuskegee University. Turn right at the first traffic light onto West Montgomery Road. Drive one mile; at the second traffic light, turn right through the Lincoln Gates into the Tuskegee campus. Parking is available next to The Oaks at 1200 West Montgomery Street and in the parking deck behind the Kellogg Center, which has a fee. The parking deck is closer to the Carver Museum.

    From the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on the Tuskegee University campus, the George Washington Carver Museum is a short walk behind the building. The Oaks, Booker T. Washington's home, is approximately a 0.3-mile walk from the museum. Follow the signs and paved paths to reach The Oaks.
