The G.W. Carver Interpretive Museum, located in downtown Dothan, Alabama, offers a unique and educational experience, highlighting the historical contributions of African Americans. The museum is housed in a building with its own significant history: a former Greyhound bus station. Today, the museum serves as a landmark honoring the legacy and impact of Dr. George Washington Carver and many other African Americans. The museum features several exhibits, including the science-themed Discovery Zone, Designing the World We Live In, Black Scientists, Inventors and Explorers, Social Progress Heroes Timeline, and the Dr. Carver Room, which chronicles the life of George Washington Carver. Visitors can also view a mural of Dr. Carver painted by Wes Hardin, the artist behind Dothan's other murals. The museum aims to provide a welcoming environment for all visitors to learn and be inspired by the rich history and achievements of African Americans.
