Hiking
The Valbonë-Teth Viewpoint Peak is best accessed from Valbona or Theth. The most popular route involves hiking the Valbona to Theth trail, or vice versa, and detouring to the peak. From Valbona: Start in Rragam, about 4km from Valbona. Most guesthouses offer transport to the trailhead for around €4 per person. Follow the trail towards Valbona Pass. The initial section is relatively flat, following the riverbed. The ascent to the pass is steep and takes 3-4 hours. From the pass, a smaller path leads to the viewpoint. From Theth: The trail from Theth is steeper. Begin near the tourist information center and follow signs to Valbona. The ascent to the pass takes approximately 3-4 hours. Costs: The main cost is transportation to either Valbona or Theth. Minibus transport from Shkoder to Koman (for the ferry) is around 800 LEK (€8). The ferry from Koman to Fierze is 1000 LEK (€10). Minibus from Fierze to Valbona is 800 LEK (€8). A taxi from Shkoder to Theth costs approximately €10-€12. Local transport to the trailhead in Valbona is about €4. There is no entrance fee to access the trails or the viewpoint.
