Walking
From the center of Berat, start at Skanderbeg Square and head towards Berat Castle. Walk up Rruga Mihal Komnena, the road leading to the castle. Continue uphill for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the entrance. Once inside the castle area, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the lookout points, heading towards the western side of the castle. A ticket to enter the castle between 9am-6pm costs 300 LEK. Visiting outside of these hours means you can enter at no cost.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in the city center. Start from Skanderbeg Square and head southeast on Rruga Mihal Komnena. Turn left onto Rruga Gjon Buzuku and continue until you reach the entrance of Berat Castle. Park your bicycle and walk up the path to the Sunset Spot. Bicycle rentals typically cost around 500-1000 LEK per day.
