Walking
From the Mangalem Quarter, follow Rruga Mihal Komnena uphill. This steep, cobbled street leads directly to the castle entrance. The walk takes approximately 15 minutes. A shortcut trail through the trees is available about halfway up to bypass the main entrance and potentially avoid the entrance fee. Be prepared for uneven terrain and wear appropriate footwear.

Driving
From the center of Berat, follow the signs towards Kalaja/Castle. The road is the same Rruga Mihal Komnena used for walking. Drive carefully as the road is narrow and steep. Free parking is available near the entrance gate, but it can fill up quickly during peak hours. Respect local residents and adhere to parking regulations.

Local buses connect the Berat Bus Terminal (Rruga Antipatrea) to the city center. From the city center, follow the walking or driving directions to reach the castle. A taxi from the bus terminal to the castle costs approximately 10-15 euros.
