    From the center of Berat, such as the Gorica Bridge, the main entrance to Berat Castle is approximately a 1 km uphill walk. Starting at the bridge, follow the road and veer right onto Rruga Mihal Komena, a cobblestone path leading to the entrance. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes at a moderate pace. Be prepared for a steep incline and uneven surfaces; wear comfortable shoes.

    Local buses run from Berat's bus terminal to the castle entrance. The bus terminal is located in the Kombinat suburb, about 3 km from the city center. From the center, take a local city bus towards Kombinat. At the terminal, board the bus to the castle; the ticket costs around €1.5. The bus will drop you off near the main gate.
