BUNK'ART 1, a former top-secret nuclear bunker on the outskirts of Tirana, offers a chilling yet fascinating glimpse into Albania's communist era. Constructed between 1972 and 1978 to protect dictator Enver Hoxha and his inner circle from potential nuclear attacks, the five-story underground complex has been transformed into a museum and art center, drawing visitors from around the globe.

Public Transport
To reach BUNK'ART 1 via public transport, take the blue 'Line 11' bus to 'Porcelan' from the bus station behind the Palace of Culture near Skanderbeg Square in central Tirana. A bus ticket costs 40 Lek. Ask the driver to stop near BunkArt 1, close to the Dajti Ekspres cable car. The bus trip takes approximately 35-40 minutes. From the bus stop, walk for about 5 minutes through a long tunnel to reach the ticket booth.

Taxis are readily available in Tirana. A taxi ride from the city center to BUNK'ART 1 typically costs between 700 and 1000 Lek. Confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. The ride takes approximately 15 minutes.
