Qafa e Pazarit is located in the heart of Gjirokastra's Old Town, easily accessible on foot from most points within the historic center. From Gjirokastra Castle, walk downhill, following the cobblestone streets towards the center of the Old Town. The walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes. As you descend, you'll pass traditional stone houses and have panoramic views of the city. There are no specific costs involved in reaching Qafa e Pazarit on foot.
Public Transport
If arriving in Gjirokastra's New Town, a public bus connects the new and old parts of the city. Look for the local bus circuit that serves the historic center. A single fare costs approximately 30 LEK. Alight at the bus stop closest to the Old Bazaar and walk a short distance to Qafa e Pazarit. The buses operate regularly throughout the day.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gjirokastra and can take you directly to Qafa e Pazarit. A short taxi ride from the New Town or the bus station to the Old Town should cost between 300-500 LEK. Taxis can be found at the River Bridge and along Bulevardi 18 Shtatori. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Parking
If driving, note that parking in the Old Town can be challenging due to narrow streets and limited spaces. An underground parking garage is available near the Old Town, costing approximately €2 for 3 hours. Alternatively, private parking is available for 1000 LEK per day. Street parking may be available but can be difficult to find. Be prepared to walk a short distance from your parking spot to Qafa e Pazarit.
