Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Gjirokaster Castle, you can walk to Nostalgia Tunnel. Head down from the castle towards the city center, and then take Rruga 19 Nëntori towards the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rruga Shezai Çomo and walk for about 1.5 km. The tunnel will be on your left. This walk will take around 20-30 minutes.
Public Transport
To reach Nostalgia Tunnel using public transport, first, head to the main bus station in Gjirokaster. Look for minibuses or shared taxis heading towards the outskirts of the city. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Rruga Shezai Çomo. The fare is usually around 100 Albanian Lek (approximately $1). Once you get off, walk about 500 meters along Rruga Shezai Çomo, and you will find the Nostalgia Tunnel on your right.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Gjirokaster and can take you directly to the Nostalgia Tunnel. A taxi ride from the city center to the tunnel will cost approximately 500-700 Lekë. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. You can stop a taxi on the street or use a ride hailing app.
Car
If you're driving from the center of Gjirokaster, head northwest on Rruga Çameri towards Rruga 19 Nëntori. Continue straight for about 2.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rruga Shezai Çomo. Continue on this road for approximately 1 km; you will see the entrance to Nostagia Tunnel on your left. Parking is available nearby. Private parking costs 1000 lek per day.
