BUNK'ART is a historical art center located in a former anti-nuclear bunker on the outskirts of Tirana, Albania. Constructed during the communist regime of Enver Hoxha, the five-story underground bunker served as a shelter for political elites in case of war. Today, it offers visitors a unique glimpse into Albania's Cold War past, political repression, and military history through historical exhibits and art installations.

Public Transport
From Tirana's city center, take the blue 'Linzë' or 'Porcelan' bus from the bus station behind the Palace of Culture near Skanderbeg Square. A one-way ticket costs 40 Lek (€0.30). The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to stop near BUNK'ART or the Dajti Ekspres cable car. From the bus stop, walk through the tunnel to the ticket booth and then to the entrance.
Taxi
A taxi ride from downtown Tirana to BUNK'ART takes about 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 700-1000 Lek (€5.50 – €8). Ride-sharing apps like VrapOn are also available. Confirm the price with the driver before starting the journey.
Walking
Walking to BUNK'ART from the city center takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The route is relatively straightforward. Head northeast from Skanderbeg Square. Follow Rruga Fadil Deliu. Be aware that the walk can be long, so wear comfortable shoes.
