From Berat, take a local bus from the main bus station towards Tomor i Madh. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 300 ALL. From Tomor i Madh, you can walk or hire a local taxi to the park entrance. A taxi should cost around 500 ALL.
Taxi

Consider hiring a taxi from Skrapar to Tomorri Mountain National Park for a direct route. This typically costs 5,000 to 7,000 ALL and takes about 45 minutes. Agree on the fare before starting, as taxis may not have meters.
Car

From Skrapar, drive southeast on Rruga e Skraparit towards Rruga Dajç. Continue for 15 km until the junction with SH72. Turn left onto SH72 towards Berat. After 5 km, follow signs for Tomorri Mountain National Park and continue for another 10 km to the entrance. Note: Have cash for a potential park entry fee.

Tomorri Mountain National Park, established in 1956 and expanded in 2019, encompasses 261.06 square kilometers of diverse ecosystems centered around Mount Tomorr. Located 20-30 km east of Berat, the park is a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking spiritual connection.The park's centerpiece, Mount Tomorr, also known as Mali i Tomorrit, rises to 2,416 meters (7,926 feet) at its highest peak, Maja e Partizanit. Often called the 'Mount Olympus of Albania', it is visible from many cities throughout the country. The mountain is composed of limestone and karst formations, creating a dramatic landscape of caves, creeks, and sinkholes. These formations have resulted in unique diversity of flora and fauna. Forests within the park feature a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees, including European beech and Bosnian pine. Wildlife includes wolves, foxes, wild boars, roe deer and various bird species.Mount Tomorr holds significant spiritual importance. The Tomb of Abaz Aliu (Tyrba e Kulmakut), the half-brother of Mohammed, is located on the mountain at approximately 1,200 m (3,937 ft). Thousands of Bektashi pilgrims visit the Tyrba each August for a week-long religious festival. Christians also climb the mountain to honor the Virgin Mary on Assumption Day.Visitors to Tomorri Mountain National Park can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, and exploring the local culture. Popular trails lead to Mount Tomorr's summit and the Sotira Waterfalls. The nearby village of Dardhe offers a glimpse into traditional Albanian life.
