Preza Fortress: A Window to Albania's Past

Preza Fortress, a medieval castle located in Prezë, Albania, offers visitors a captivating journey through time. Originally built by the Byzantine emperor Justinian in the 550s, the castle was expanded in the 14th and 15th centuries by the Thopia family, a local Albanian feudal family.
