If driving from Tirana, take the SH2 highway towards Krujë. From Krujë, follow the signs towards Qafshtama National Park, a drive through scenic landscapes. The air here is exceptionally fresh, with minimal carbon dioxide, believed to alleviate symptoms of chronic asthma, lung disease, and weakened immune systems. The most significant water source, Kroi i Nenës Mbretëreshë (Source of the Queen Mother), is celebrated for its purity and health benefits. Legend has it that the Albanian Royal Family received a daily supply of this water after a Vienna laboratory declared it the country's best in 1932.Qafshtama offers a variety of activities for nature enthusiasts. Scenic hiking trails wind through the park, catering to all fitness levels, with diverse terrain suitable for both casual walkers and avid hikers.
