Getting there

Public Transport

From Kurbin, take a local bus to Lezhë from the main bus station for approximately 100 Lek. Upon arriving in Lezhë, take a taxi to Rruga e Tyrbes for around 500 Lek or walk for about 20 minutes. Follow Rruga e Tyrbes for about 3 kilometers to reach the base of Maja e Shelbumit.

Taxi

Hire a taxi from Kurbin directly to Maja e Shelbumit for approximately 2000 Lek. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Negotiate the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.

Car

From Kurbin, drive southwest on the SH1 highway towards Lezhë. Continue for about 18 kilometers until you reach Lezhë. Follow signs for Rruga e Tyrbes, continue along this road for about 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Maja e Shelbumit. Limited parking is available near the base of the mountain.
