Car
From Kurbin, head southwest on the SH1 highway towards Lezhë. Continue for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the city of Lezhë. Once in Lezhë, follow the signs for Rruga e Tyrbes. Turn onto Rruga e Tyrbes and continue along this road for about 3 kilometers. You will see a sign for Maja e Shelbumit along the way. There is limited parking available near the base of the mountain.

Begin your journey in Kurbin by taking a local bus to Lezhë. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station in Kurbin and the fare is usually around 100 Lek (approximately $1 USD). Once you arrive in Lezhë, you can either take a taxi (expect to pay around 500 Lek or $5 USD) to Rruga e Tyrbes or walk to the road which is about 20 minutes on foot. Follow Rruga e Tyrbes for about 3 kilometers until you reach the base of Maja e Shelbumit.
