From Kurbin, take a local bus to Lezhë from the main bus station for approximately 100 Lek. Upon arriving in Lezhë, take a taxi to Rruga e Tyrbes for around 500 Lek or walk for about 20 minutes. Follow Rruga e Tyrbes for about 3 kilometers to reach the base of Maja e Shelbumit.

From Kurbin, drive southwest on the SH1 highway towards Lezhë. Continue for about 18 kilometers until you reach Lezhë. Follow signs for Rruga e Tyrbes, continue along this road for about 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Maja e Shelbumit. Limited parking is available near the base of the mountain.
