    From Skanderbeg Square, head east towards Rruga Myslym Shyri. The Independence Memorial is a short walk away, approximately 400 meters along the main path leading out of the square. The memorial will be on your left, situated prominently along the street.

    Public Transport

    From Blloku, walk to the nearest bus stop at Rruga Hoxha Tahsim, about 300 meters from central Blloku. Board bus number 9 or 11 towards the city center. Disembark at 'Sheshi Skënderbej' and walk along Rruga Myslym Shyri for about 10 minutes. A single bus fare costs 40 Lek. Public transport is available from 6 AM to 11 PM.

It features an open tower composed of two parts of a cube, with laser-drawn elements on the inner sides, including the Declaration of Independence, the double-headed eagle, and human portraits. The open structure encourages visitors to walk through freely, representing the openness of the Albanian nation.The monument is set in a lively plaza where locals gather and national events are celebrated. It is near Skanderbeg Square, allowing visitors to explore other attractions. The memorial is particularly striking at night when illuminated.
