Buses typically depart every 30 minutes, and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. From the center of Petrelë, it's about a 20-30 minute uphill walk (1 km) to the castle along Rruga Petreles. Bus fare is around 100-300 ALL.

Fires were used to communicate between the castles. The castle has a triangular shape, featuring two observation towers. During Skanderbeg's resistance against the Ottomans, the castle was commanded by Mamica Kastrioti, Skanderbeg's sister, adding to its historical significance. Visitors can explore the grounds and enjoy views of the Erzen valley, rolling hills, olive groves, and surrounding mountains.
