After the fall of communism in 1991, the park faced a period of neglect with the rise of illegal structures. However, a major cleanup in 2000 revitalized the area, restoring its green spaces and recreational facilities.Today, Rinia Park features lush greenery, vibrant flower beds, and well-maintained pathways, inviting visitors to take leisurely strolls and enjoy the natural surroundings. The park also includes playgrounds, areas for physical activities, and spaces for relaxation, catering to a diverse range of visitors. A notable landmark within the park is a unique white building, often referred to as "Taiwan," which houses cafes, restaurants, and a bowling alley. Rinia Park also serves as a venue for cultural events and festivals, such as the Summer Festival on March 14th, adding to its vibrant atmosphere.
