    From Shkodër, take a local bus or minivan (furgon) heading towards Mes or Boks. These may be infrequent, so inquire locally about the schedule. The bus will drop you off in Boks, from where you'll need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the bridge. A bus ticket should cost around 100-200 Lek.

Constructed around 1770 by Kara Mahmud Bushati, the local Ottoman pasha, the bridge spans the Kir River, connecting Shkodër with Drisht and other northern cities.The bridge is 108 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, and 12.5 meters high, featuring 13 arches that create a captivating, slightly angled appearance. Built in two phases, the bridge showcases traditional Ottoman architectural elements, using round, smooth stones and stone plates. The largest arch stretches 21.5 meters, adding to its unique charm.Today, the Mesi Bridge attracts visitors with its historical significance and picturesque setting. Although floods have caused damage over time, the Albanian Development Fund has invested in its preservation, ensuring safe access for tourists. Visitors can stroll along the bridge, explore the riverbanks, and immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere of this cultural monument.
