The Cloud, or Reja, is a unique and interactive art installation located in front of the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana, Albania. Designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, it was originally commissioned for the Serpentine Gallery in London in 2013 and later moved to Tirana in 2016.This architectural marvel resembles a giant, ethereal cloud, constructed from a delicate network of white steel bars. The structure's footprint covers 350 square meters, with a maximum height of 7 meters. The semi-transparent canopy provides shelter while allowing visitors to remain connected to the surrounding landscape. A series of stepped terraces offer seating areas, creating a flexible, multi-purpose social space.Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artwork, climbing on top or finding a seat underneath, offering a unique perspective of the city. During the warm summer evenings, The Cloud transforms into an atmospheric stage for musicians and theater performances.
