The Archaeological Museum of Apolonia, established in 1958, is located approximately 8 km west of Fier, Albania, within the ancient city of Apolonia. The museum is housed in a former 14th-century monastery of St. Mary, adding a layer of historical intrigue to the experience. The museum's collection comprises artifacts unearthed from the nearby archaeological site of Apolonia, a city founded by Greek colonists in 588 BC and later developed by the Romans.
