Discover more about The Cloud

Located in front of the National Gallery of Arts, The Cloud (Reja) is a unique architectural installation by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. Originally created for the Serpentine Gallery in London, it was relocated to Tirana in 2016 and has since become a modern art space and a symbol of the city's evolving identity. The Cloud is constructed from a delicate network of white steel bars, forming a semi-transparent, irregular canopy that covers 350 square meters. This cloud-like structure provides shelter while allowing visitors to remain connected to the surrounding landscape. The installation features stepped terraces that offer seating areas, making it a flexible, multi-purpose social space. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artwork, climbing on top or finding a seat underneath, offering a unique perspective of the city. During the warm summer evenings, The Cloud transforms into an atmospheric stage for musicians and theater performances. The Cloud operates as an independent space, hosting a full schedule of activities in cooperation with local cultural partners, educational institutions, and communities.
