Driving from Shkodër, head northeast towards the village of Mes. The drive is approximately 7.6 km and takes about 10 minutes. Follow the signs for Mesi Bridge once you reach Mes village. There is a small parking area near the bridge on the west side, where parking is free.
Public Transport

From Shkodër, take a local bus or minivan (furgon) heading towards the village of Mes or Boks. These buses may be infrequent, so inquire locally about the schedule. A bus ticket should cost around 100-200 Lek. The bus will drop you off in Boks, from where you'll need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the bridge.

Nestled in the village of Mes, approximately 5 kilometers northeast of Shkodër, the Mesi Bridge (Ura e Mesit, meaning "The bridge in the middle") stands as a remarkable example of 18th-century Ottoman engineering. Constructed around 1770 by Kara Mahmud Bushati, the local Ottoman pasha, the bridge spans the Kir River and was built to connect Shkodër with Drisht and other northern cities.The bridge is 108 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, and 12.5 meters high, featuring 13 arches, making it one of the longest Ottoman bridges in the region. Its construction was completed in two phases. The bridge's architecture is characterized by the use of round, smooth stones and stone plates. Over time, devastating floods have damaged the bridge, causing cracking in some of the arches. The Albanian Development Fund invested 13 million lekë to improve access for tourists.Today, the Mesi Bridge is a significant tourist attraction, drawing visitors with its historical importance and scenic surroundings. The panorama of the Kir River valley enhances the bridge's appeal. Visitors can walk along the bridge and explore the riverbanks.
