Discover more about Cape Drastis

Cape Drastis, known as Akra Drastis in Greek, is a breathtaking natural wonder located on the northernmost point of Corfu, near the village of Peroulades. This remote cape is characterized by its dramatic white limestone cliffs that plunge into the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea, creating a mesmerizing landscape. Over centuries, wind and sea erosion have sculpted the unique rock formations, resulting in secluded coves and tiny, pristine beaches accessible mainly by boat. The cliffs' soft sedimentary rock layers add texture and allow plants to grow along the edges, creating a striking contrast between the stark white landscape and the vibrant greenery. Historically, Cape Drastis served as a reference point for fishermen and sailors navigating Corfu's northern coast and as a natural lookout point during times of unrest. Today, it remains largely untouched, offering a tranquil escape and a chance to witness the untamed beauty of Corfu's coastline. Visitors can explore the area by foot, following hiking trails that lead to various viewpoints, or by boat, which provides access to hidden coves and sea caves. A boat tour offers a unique perspective of the impressive cliffs and allows you to discover secluded beaches for swimming and sunbathing.
