From the city center (Çerçiz Topulli Square), the Gjirokastër Fortress is a steep uphill walk of approximately 20 minutes. Follow the main road towards the fortress, passing the Ethnographic Museum. The entrance fee to the fortress is approximately 400 Lek. Be prepared for uneven terrain and steps.
