The Pyramid of Tirana: A Phoenix from Communist Ashes
A piece of the Berlin Wall in Tirana: Reflecting on division, unity, and the enduring spirit of freedom in Albania.
The Berliner Mauer Teilstück (Berlin Wall Segment) in Tirana stands as a powerful reminder of both German and Albanian history. Inaugurated in 2013, this graffiti-covered concrete fragment commemorates the victims of Albania's communist regime and symbolizes freedom and unity. Located at the entrance of the Bllok, once a restricted area for communist officials, it serves as a poignant reminder of Albania's past.
