Discover more about Three Times Black

Located on the southern shore of the Artificial Lake in Tirana's Grand Park, Three Times Black offers a unique intersection of art and nature. Created by artist Silva Agostini and inaugurated in 2022 as part of the Manifesta 14 Western Balkans Project, the installation comprises three high metal structures with triangular bases, each of varying sizes. These steel figures are designed to slowly rotate, inviting park visitors to interact with them and become part of the artwork. The sculptures' shapes draw inspiration from the architecture of urban environments, with muted watercolors on the metal surfaces that blend with the park's landscape. As humidity and temperature change, they create unique pictorial patterns on the sculptures, ensuring that the artwork is ever-evolving. This integration of art within a public space encourages engagement and reflection, making it a notable point of interest in Tirana. While some reports indicate the installation has suffered some damage, it remains a distinctive landmark within the city's cultural landscape.
