Public Transport
From Tirana, head to the South East Terminal (Terminali i Autobusave të Jugut Lindore). Buses depart for Pëllumbas at 7:00, 13:00, and 17:00. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From the bus stop in Pëllumbas, follow the signs towards Shpella e Pëllumbasit. The trail is a 2-kilometer hike, taking around 45-50 minutes. Bus fare from Tirana to Pëllumbas is approximately 150-200 Lek (€1.20-€1.60). Ensure you have cash for the bus fare.
Taxi
A taxi from Tirana to Pëllumbas takes approximately 24 minutes. Taxi services like Tirana Taxi Company, Merr Taxi, or Speed Taxi can be booked. The estimated cost is $30-$45 (approximately 3,000 - 4,500 Lek). Note that while the taxi will get you closer to Pëllumbas, you'll still need to hike the final 2 kilometers to the cave entrance.
Walking
If you are already in Pëllumbas, from the bus stop, follow the signs pointing towards Shpella e Pëllumbasit. The trail leading to the cave starts from the main road and is about a 50-minute hike with excellent views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water. There is no cost associated with walking to the cave.
