Getting There

    From the Gjipe Beach parking area, the beach is a 1.5 km (approximately 30-45 minute) walk down a rocky, unshaded path. The path is well-marked but requires sturdy footwear. Follow the path, taking in the views of the canyon and coastline. Be prepared for a somewhat challenging uphill walk on the return.

    Take a minibus (furgon) from Himarë or Dhërmi towards Gjipe Beach. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for Gjipe Beach. From there, walk 2.5 kilometers along a single-track road to the parking lot, then follow the walking directions to the beach. Bus fare is approximately 200-400 Lek.

  • Boat/Water Taxi

    From Himarë, take a water taxi to Gjipe Beach. Himara Water Taxi offers round-trip tickets to Gjipe Beach for €20 per person. The boat will drop you off directly on Gjipe Beach, saving you the walk from the parking area.
