Dar Mustapha Pacha: A Glimpse into Ottoman Algiers

Throughout its history, Dar Mustapha Pacha has served various purposes. After the French colonization, it was used as a residence for army generals. In 1863, it was transformed into a library-museum. Today, it houses the National Museum of Miniatures, Illumination and Calligraphy, offering visitors a glimpse into Algerian artistic traditions. The palace was listed as a historical monument in 1887 and, in 1992, it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Casbah.
