Walking
Once within any of the five ksour (Ghardaïa, Melika, Beni Isguen, Bou Noura, and El Atteuf), the best way to explore is on foot. The narrow alleyways and compact nature of the towns make walking the most practical option. Be prepared for some uneven terrain and steps. Remember to dress modestly and respect local customs. A local guide can enhance your experience and provide valuable insights into the history and culture of the M'Zab Valley. There are no entrance fees to enter the cities, but hiring a guide will cost approximately 1000-2000 DZD.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Ghardaïa, the main city in the M'Zab Valley, and can be used to travel between the different ksour or to reach the valley from the Ghardaïa Airport. A taxi ride from the airport to Ghardaïa city center will cost approximately 500-800 DZD. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. Taxis within the city or between nearby ksour typically cost 300-500 DZD.
