Getting There

Walking

If you are in Constantine's city center, begin by heading to Place des Martyrs. From there, walk towards Rue de la République and follow it until you reach the Kasbah entrance. Continue through the Kasbah, enjoying the historical architecture. As you exit the Kasbah, you'll arrive at a viewpoint overlooking the Rhumel River. Follow the signs towards Pont du Diable, which will lead you to the Sidi M'Cid Bridge. The walk from the city center takes approximately 30 minutes.
Public Transport

From Constantine's central bus station, take bus number 7 towards M'Cid. The bus will take you near the Sidi M'Cid Bridge. Get off at the M'Cid stop and follow the signs to the bridge, a short 10-minute walk. A single bus fare costs approximately 20 DZD.
Taxi

Take a shared taxi from the central taxi rank near Place des Martyrs. Look for a taxi with a sign indicating they are going to M'Cid. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. From where the taxi drops you off, walk the remaining distance to the Sidi M'Cid Bridge, no more than 5 minutes. A shared taxi ride should cost around 100-200 DZD.

The Sidi M'Cid Bridge, often called the 'Devil's Bridge' (Pont du Diable), is the most iconic and arguably the most spectacular of Constantine's many bridges. This Algerian city, nicknamed the 'City of Bridges,' is uniquely situated on a high plateau bisected by a deep gorge carved by the Rhumel River.Completed in 1912 and designed by French engineer Ferdinand Arnodin, the Sidi M'Cid Bridge was, for a time, the highest bridge in the world, reaching 175 meters (575 feet) above the river. Its hybrid cable-stayed suspension design bears a resemblance to the Brooklyn Bridge, though Sidi M'Cid is more than twice as high.
