Experience National Park of American Samoa Visitor Center

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Aua, head south towards the main road (Route 001). Continue along the main road, which runs parallel to the coastline. Keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Aua Church on your left. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with the main road leading into Fagatogo. Take a right turn at this intersection. Continue walking for another 500 meters, and you should see the National Park of American Samoa Visitor Center on your left, marked by clear signage.

  • Public Transport

    While Aua does not have a dedicated bus service, you can catch a local 'bus' (which is often a shared van) heading towards Fagatogo. Look for a bus with signs indicating it travels to Fagatogo or the National Park. Board the van and inform the driver of your destination. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you reach Fagatogo, disembark near the Visitor Center. The center is located on Route 001, and you can easily spot it from the main road.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Aua to the National Park of American Samoa Visitor Center. Start by heading south on the main road (Route 001). Enjoy the scenic views of the coastline as you ride. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, turn right at the intersection towards Fagatogo. Continue straight for another 500 meters, and the Visitor Center will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling laws for safety.
