To reach Ta'ū, travelers typically fly from Pago Pago International Airport (PPG) on Tutuila Island. Samoa Airways is the primary airline offering flights to Fiti'uta Airport (FTI) on Ta'ū. These flights are typically on smaller aircraft, and schedules can be subject to change, so flexibility is essential. Contact Samoa Airways directly for schedules and booking information (+684-699-9126 or +684-699-9127). Due to limited flight availability, booking in advance is highly recommended. Expect to pay around $50 - $150 USD for a one-way flight.

  • Boat

Alternatively, travelers can take a boat from Tutuila to Ta'ū. The MV Manu'atele ferry makes regular trips to the Manu'a Islands every government pay week (fortnightly). The ferry typically loads on Wednesdays and departs Pago Pago on Thursday mornings, arriving in Manu'a the same afternoon. A one-way trip to Manu'a costs $30 for adults and $15 for students. The Samoa Shipping Corporation also operates a weekly ship between Apia and Pago Pago on Thursdays. The boat trip to Ta'u is about 1.5 hours and costs $150.
