Blunts Point Trail: A WWII Relic with Panoramic Views

The battery, armed with two 6-inch naval guns, was strategically placed to protect Pago Pago Harbor following the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941.The trail itself is approximately 3.8 miles round trip, connecting seamlessly with the World War II Heritage Trail, and involves an elevation gain of around 1125 feet. Hikers can expect a 2.25-hour journey through diverse terrain, including steep, rocky sections where ropes are sometimes needed for assistance.
