    The Visitor Center is located in Fagatogo, directly across from the Pago Way Service Station. If you are already in Fagatogo, walking is a straightforward option. Look for the building with National Park Service signage.

    From other parts of Tutuila, you can take an 'aiga' (family) bus to Fagatogo. Buses are frequent but operate without a set schedule. The cost is between $0.50 and $2.00. Buses to the National Park: Two bus routes travel to the National Park of American Samoa. Look for buses in the Pago Pago Village area with signage for Vatia, a village located within the park. Be prepared to wait up to an hour for the bus, as there are no established schedules.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at the Pago Pago International Airport and throughout Tutuila. A taxi from the airport to the Visitor Center will cost approximately $15-$20. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis can also be flagged down from any safe location along the road.
