Car
From Pago Pago International Airport, rent a car and drive east along the main road. Follow the signs for Aumi. The drive is approximately 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the coastline. Parking near the mountain trails is limited, so arrive early. Car rentals are available near the airport. Expect to pay around $30-$50 per day for a rental car.
Public Transport
Take an aiga (family) bus from the Fagatogo Market in Pago Pago towards the eastern end of Tutuila. Look for buses with signage indicating they are going to Aumi or nearby villages. The bus fare is around $2.00 per person. Buses do not operate on Sundays. From Aumi, there may be a short walk to the mountain trails.
Taxi
Taxis are available at the airport and in Pago Pago. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. A taxi ride from the airport to Rainmaker Mountain area will cost approximately $20-$30. Taxis offer a direct and convenient way to reach the mountain, but they are more expensive than the bus.
