Discover more about Museu Casa Rull

Museu Casa Rull provides visitors with a captivating journey into Andorra's rural past. The museum is situated in Sispony, in a house that belonged to a well-to-do family of landowners. The building itself dates back to the 17th century, with modifications made over time, including a reconstruction after a fire in the 19th century. Inside, you'll discover how the Rull family and later the Perich family, who rose to prominence through marriage, lived and worked. The exhibits display the family's social structure and how tasks were distributed among its members. The house is furnished with original furniture and utensils, providing an authentic view of Andorran rural life. The museum is part of the Andorra Rural Habitat Circuit, offering a glimpse into a time when agriculture and animal husbandry formed the economic base of Andorran society. Visitors can explore the different rooms, from the kitchen to the bedrooms, and learn about the unique family and social dynamics that prevailed in Andorra's valleys until the last century. The top floor was used for storage and drying: on the one hand, it was used to store fruit, nuts and herbs, and some of the products were dried to preserve them better; on the other hand, some of the tools that fell into disuse were also stored there. During the last years that the family lived in the Rull house, the attic was mainly used for drying tobacco.
