Plaça Guillemó, often called Plaça de les Arcades, is a captivating town square located in the bustling heart of Andorra la Vella. This square is a focal point for both locals and tourists, offering a unique glimpse into the vibrant culture and community life of the city.The square was conceived by Bartomeu Rebés Duran, the landowner, who was a draughtsman. He created the first example of town planning in Andorra la Vella in the granite architecture style. The perimeter of the building was capped by a 40º cornice, a perimeter porch was set on the ground floor, and balconies were constructed on the façades.Surrounded by buildings showcasing the Andorran granite architectural style, Plaça Guillemó provides a picturesque setting for relaxation and exploration. The square comes alive during local festivals and events, offering tourists a chance to engage with the local community. With its blend of traditional and modern influences, local shops, and inviting cafes, Plaça Guillemó captures the essence of Andorra la Vella.

Getting There
Walking
Plaça Guillemó is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from most points in Andorra la Vella. From the Andorra la Vella bus station, walk towards Avinguda Meritxell, the main street. Continue straight, and you will see signs for Plaça Guillemó on your right. Follow the signs to reach the town square. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. No cost.
Public Transport
Andorra la Vella is served by a comprehensive bus network. Several bus lines stop near Plaça Guillemó. Check local bus routes and schedules for the most convenient option. From the nearest bus stop, follow the signs to the square. Bus fare within Andorra la Vella is typically around €2. Since July 2022, the bus service has been largely free of charge, mainly for permanent users, i.e. primarily for Andorran residents. The only prerequisite is the possession of a corresponding season ticket, which can also be used digitally as an APP on the mobile phone.
