Mirador Roc Del Quer: A Breathtaking Andorran Vista

The Mirador Roc del Quer, also known as the Mirador de Canillo, is a must-see attraction in Andorra, offering an unmatched perspective of the breathtaking Pyrenees. Perched high above the lush valleys of Montaup and Valira d'Orient, this architectural marvel provides panoramic views and a serene atmosphere.The highlight is the cantilevered platform, completed in 2016, which extends 12 meters out from the cliff's edge, giving the illusion of floating above the landscape. Part of the platform features a transparent glass floor, enhancing the thrilling sense of height and suspension, with the village of Canillo unfolding 500 meters below. At the end of the walkway stands "The Ponderer," a sculpture by Miguel Ángel González depicting a man sitting thoughtfully on a beam, inviting visitors to contemplate the beauty of nature.Before reaching the platform, visitors encounter the "Self-generating Structures," a collection of totem poles created by Mexican artist Jorge Dubon in 1991. These sculptures add an artistic touch to the natural surroundings, symbolizing humanity's connection to the mountains. The viewpoint is easily accessible from a nearby parking area, with a short, 400-meter walk along a path.
