Mirador Roc del Quer: A Cliffside Vista in Andorra

The Mirador Roc del Quer, located near Canillo, Andorra, is a modern architectural marvel offering unforgettable panoramic views of the Andorran landscape. Inaugurated in 2016, this observation deck has quickly become one of Canillo's most popular attractions.The highlight is its cantilevered platform, which extends 12 meters from the cliff edge, creating the sensation of floating above the valley with the village of Canillo 500 meters below. Part of the platform features a transparent glass floor, enhancing the thrilling sense of suspension.At the end of the platform sits "The Ponderer," a statue by Argentinian sculptor Miguel Ángel González, inviting visitors to reflect on the beauty of nature. The viewpoint is easily accessible via a short walk from the parking area. The path is approximately 400 meters with a gentle descent, suitable for most visitors. Along the way, you'll encounter the "Self-generating Structures," a sculptural ensemble created by Mexican sculptor Jorge Dubon. These three totem poles symbolize man's will against the immensity of the mountains.From the platform, enjoy views of the Montaup and Valira d'Orient valleys, green in summer and white in winter.
