Located in Escaldes-Engordany, the museum occupies the ground floor of the historic Hostal Valira, an iconic building known for its Andorran granite architecture. The museum's collection is drawn from the prestigious Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, one of the world's most significant private art collections. Visitors can admire a diverse range of 19th- and 20th-century paintings, with a focus on Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and Expressionism. The museum's temporary exhibitions, which change annually, ensure a fresh and engaging experience for returning visitors.The Hostal Valira, designed in 1933, adds to the museum's appeal. Its granite facade, laid in a honeycomb structure, is a distinctive example of Andorran architecture.
