Mirador Roc del Quer: A Sky-High Viewpoint in Andorra

The Mirador Roc del Quer, located near Canillo, Andorra, is a modern marvel offering an unforgettable experience. Inaugurated in July 2016, this observation deck provides panoramic views of the stunning Andorran landscape. The highlight is its cantilevered platform, extending 12 meters from the cliff edge, creating the sensation of floating above the valley with Canillo 500 meters below. Part of the platform features a transparent glass floor, enhancing the thrill and sense of suspension. At the end of the walkway stands a sculpture by Miguel Ángel González, depicting a pensive man contemplating the landscape. The valleys of Montaup and Valira d'Orient unfold below, vibrant green in summer and glistening white in winter. Informational panels describe the surrounding scenery and the geological processes that formed the mountains. The viewpoint is easily accessible, with a short walk from the parking area. The path is approximately 400 meters with a gentle descent, suitable for most visitors. Along the way, you'll encounter totem poles by Mexican sculptor Jorge Dubon, adding an artistic touch.
