    Discover more about Vall d'Incles

Vall d'Incles, or Vall d'Incles in Catalan, is a picturesque valley located in the northeastern part of Andorra, within the parish of Canillo. Situated between the villages of Soldeu and El Tarter, this U-shaped valley owes its formation to glacial activity, boasting a landscape that captivates visitors with its raw beauty. The valley offers a diverse range of hiking experiences. Explore trails that wind through lush pine and fir forests, alongside clear streams, and across open meadows adorned with vibrant wildflowers. As you ascend, the scenery transforms into rugged mountain peaks and deep valleys, providing panoramic views. The soothing sounds of waterfalls and brooks create a tranquil and immersive atmosphere. Several hiking routes begin in Vall d'Incles, leading to stunning destinations such as the Juclà Lakes, the largest in Andorra, and the serene Cabana Sorda Lake. These trails offer varying levels of difficulty, allowing hikers to customize their adventure. Historically, the valley's name, according to linguist Joan Coromines, may originate from the Roman term "insula" (island), possibly referring to a meadow bordering a river. While a ski lift once operated in the valley, it has since been removed as part of an environmental initiative. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll or a challenging hike, Vall d'Incles promises an unforgettable experience surrounded by the natural wonders of the Pyrenees.
