Grandvalira, established in 2003 through the merger of Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig and Soldeu-El Tarter, stands as the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees and one of the largest in Southern Europe. Spanning the parishes of Encamp and Canillo in Andorra, it offers a vast and varied terrain suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The resort boasts over 215 km of marked pistes, divided into 140 slopes catering to different skill levels: 24 green for beginners, 54 blue for intermediates, 44 red for advanced skiers, and 18 black for experts. Beyond traditional slopes, each sector features freeride areas and snowparks for freestyle enthusiasts. Grandvalira is also part of the Grandvalira Resorts Andorra ski area, which includes Ordino Arcalís and Pal Arinsal, offering access to over 300 km of slopes with a single pass. Grandvalira's seven sectors—Canillo, Encamp, El Tarter, Grau Roig, Pas de la Casa, Peretol and Soldeu—each have unique characteristics and attractions.
