Discover more about La Noblesse du Temps

La Noblesse du Temps, or 'The Nobility of Time,' is a captivating sculpture by Salvador Dalí, prominently located in Plaça de la Rotonda in the heart of Andorra la Vella. Gifted to Andorra in 1999 but installed in 2010, this bronze monument has become one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. The sculpture features a melting clock draped over a tree, symbolizing the passage of time and how human perception influences it. An angel sits to one side, seemingly lost in thought, while a woman emerges from a bath on the other, representing the duality of uncertainty and courage. The sculpture weighs 1,400 kilograms and stands 4.90 meters tall. Dalí's melting clock motif, famously seen in 'The Persistence of Memory,' challenges viewers' perceptions of reality and invites reflection on the nature of time.
