Walking
From Encamp town center, walk towards the Grandvalira cable car station. Follow the hiking trail signs, keeping an eye out for trail markers indicating 'Refugi del Pla de les Pedres'. The path will lead you through landscapes with some elevation gain. After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, you'll arrive at the refuge. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
Take the local bus from Encamp town center towards the Grau Roig area. Disembark at the Grau Roig bus stop. Follow the marked hiking trails to Refugi del Pla de les Pedres. The hike from the bus stop to the refuge will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Bus fares are largely free for residents; however, visitors should check local bus rates, which typically range from €1.30 to €5.50 per ride.
Car
From the center of Grau Roig, head southwest on the main road (CG-2) towards the ski area entrance. After approximately 1 km, follow the signs for TSD6 Pla de les Pedres Soldeu. Park near the lift station; parking may be limited during peak seasons. Parking costs vary, so have change or a parking card. From El Peretol, continue on foot following the marked path for approximately 20 minutes. There are no tolls on this route.
