Constructed in the 12th century, the church reflects Andorra's Christian heritage and the significance of religion in shaping the region. Inside, a replica of the original Romanesque mural paintings, attributed to the Master of Santa Coloma, adorns the apse. The original murals are preserved in the National Art Museum of Catalonia. The mural depicts the Maiestas Domini (Christ in Majesty) surrounded by the tetramorph, with the Archangel Michael merged with the symbol of Saint Matthew.
