Getting There

    From the Estació Nacional d'Autobusos (National Bus Station) in Andorra la Vella, walk north along Avinguda de Tarragona. Turn left onto Carrer de la Unió, then turn right onto Plaça Príncep Benlloch. Continue straight, crossing the bridge to the Government Building. Take the elevator to the top floor to reach Plaça del Poble. The walk is approximately 10 minutes. Public transport in Andorra is largely free.

    Andorra la Vella is served by a comprehensive network of urban bus routes. Most bus lines connect at the Estació Nacional d'Autobusos. From there, follow the walking directions to Plaça del Poble. Since July 2022, the bus service has been largely free of charge, mainly for permanent users, i.e. primarily for Andorran residents. The only prerequisite is the possession of a corresponding season ticket, which can also be used digitally as an APP on the mobile phone.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Andorra la Vella. Taxi ranks are located throughout the city, including near the Estació Nacional d'Autobusos. A short taxi ride from the bus station to Plaça del Poble will cost approximately €5-€8. The minimum fare is about €3, with a daytime rate of €1.30/km. Tell the driver you want to go to Plaça del Poble, located on top of the government building.

    If driving, the closest parking is at the Aparcament Comunal Centre Ciutat (Prat de la Creu car park). From the car park, take the elevator to the 7th floor, which leads directly to Plaça del Poble. Parking rates are approximately €2.50 per hour. Limited parking is available, especially during peak tourist season.
