Espai Benestar: A Tranquil Retreat in Sant Julià de Lòria

Espai Benestar, meaning "Well-being Space" in Catalan, is a thoughtfully designed leisure area in the heart of Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra. Situated along the banks of the Valira River, this space provides a tranquil escape where visitors can unwind and connect with nature. The area features comfortable benches and a safety railing to prevent access to the river, making it a secure environment for all. The space spans over 1,000 square meters, offering ample room to relax and enjoy the scenery. Espai Benestar is particularly appealing during hot weather, as it remains shaded for most of the day. While offering a modern space for relaxation, it's worth noting that as of October 2024, Espai Benestar is temporarily closed due to construction works related to the Rocafort tunnel. These works aim to improve safety in the area by reinforcing the mountainside and preventing potential rockfalls. The tunnel is expected to be completed in 2027 and will divert traffic away from the town center.
