Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Cubil parking area in the Grandvalira-Grau Roig sector, begin hiking southwards, ascending the Montmalús ski slope, following the chairlift. Continue past Coma Estremera lake towards Collada de Montmalús mountain pass. From there, follow the signs, continuing down and then left, indicated by yellow marks, towards the refuge. The hike is roughly 5.36 km with an elevation gain of 604m and takes over 6 hours. Ensure appropriate hiking gear and check weather conditions.

  • Public Transport

    Take the L4 bus to Grau Roig. From there, follow the walking directions from the Cubil parking area. Bus fare is approximately €2-€4. Check the bus schedule in advance as services may be infrequent, especially outside of peak season.
